Don Voyage is not liable for any inaccuracies except where the error is on our part. Images of destinations and accommodations are examples and may differ in reality.
Flights
If Don Voyage books your flights, we are not responsible for any schedule changes, delays, cancellations, or missed connections. These are subject to the airlines' policies. We recommend checking your flight status regularly. Don Voyage will assist within our capacity, but the airlines handle disruptions.
If Don Voyage purchases airline tickets on your behalf, you must pay the remaining balance within 24 hours of notification. If no payment is received, your flight will be canceled.
Pricing and Payment
An initial payment of 25% of the travel package price is due at booking, with the remaining balance due 60 days before services begin. If the balance is not paid on time, we will send a reminder and, if necessary, cancel the contract and charge any applicable cancellation fees.
Full payment is due immediately for bookings made within 60 days of departure. We accept credit card or bank transfer, with East Africa trips requiring ACH or wire transfer.

In the event of Force Majeure, Don Voyage may cancel or modify your booking. "Force Majeure" includes circumstances beyond our control such as war, weather conditions, pandemics, government actions, or natural disasters.

Travel Insurance
Don Voyage strongly recommends purchasing travel insurance to cover cancellations, interruptions, medical issues, and repatriation. If you choose not to, we are not liable for any losses you incur. If you choose to travel without adequate insurance coverage, we will not be liable for any of your losses howsoever arising, which would have been covered had you purchased adequate insurance. Don Voyage can arrange relevant offers from insurers if requested for extra cost.
Travel Supplier Rules and Restrictions
Don Voyage connects you with Travel Suppliers but does not control the services they provide. Their terms and conditions apply to your booking, and we are not responsible for issues arising from their services.

Claims not submitted within this timeframe will be considered waived and no longer valid.
General Travel Information
Complaints About Lost or Damaged Baggage
If you discover that your baggage has been lost or damaged after your flight, it’s important to report this immediately at the Lost and Found counter at your arrival airport. Be sure to request a Property Irregularity Report or a Lost Report in writing. Without these documents, the airline will not be held liable for any damage or lossDon Voyage will not be held responable for any lost or damaged baggages.
Check-in at the Airport
We recommend arriving at the airline check-in desk at least two hours before your flight’s departure. Check-in counters usually open two to three hours prior to departure. Business or First Class passengers may have separate check-in desks. Be sure your luggage is checked through to your final destination airport. If unsure, ask the airport staff for clarification on your destination.
Flight Schedule
If you’ve booked your flights through Don Voyage, you’ll receive a list of your booked flights along with the necessary travel documents. These documents will be needed for online check-in or at the airport check-in desk. A passport will generally suffice for check-in; however, you may be asked about your flight schedule, so it’s a good idea to carry it with you for any connecting flights.
Luggage on Your Flights
We strongly recommend not packing valuable items or electronic devices (such as laptops, cameras, etc.) in your checked baggage. Don Voyage is not liable for any damage or theft of these items. Always store valuables in your hand luggage. Be sure to follow the baggage regulations of the respective airline, as excess baggage fees can range from 10 to 30 USD per extra pound.
Online Check-In
Many airlines now offer the option of online check-in, allowing you to check in from home with your name and booking number between 48 and 24 hours before your departure. Some airlines also let you print your boarding pass or have it sent directly to your mobile phone. This saves time at the airport. On the day of departure, you’ll only need to check in your luggage at the airline’s baggage check-in counter.
Reconfirmation of Long-Haul Flights
We recommend reconfirming your long-haul flights three days before departure, as flight times may change. There’s no need to reconfirm your outbound flight. If you’ve booked a self-drive tour or other individual trips without a tour guide, be sure to check your return flight times as well. This also applies if you didn’t book your flights through Don Voyage.
Flight Delays or Cancellations
In the event of a delay or cancellation of your domestic flight within the US or to a transfer airport such as New York, Los Angeles, or Chicago, please reach out to the airline staff at the check-in desk and notify Don Voyage concierge as soon as possible. The same applies to any delays or cancellations of long-haul flights.
To check if you’re eligible for a refund, use the Airline Compensation Calculator.
Safety and Security
At Don Voyage, we understand that emergencies can happen during travel. To reduce risks, we strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance. We also provide local emergency contact information as well as Don Voyage’s concierge phone line, which you can find in your pre-departure documents. Be sure to store these numbers in your phone and carry them with you at all times.
In case of immediate emergency, always comply with local authorities, as they are your best resource for fast response. If you experience any connectivity issues or security concerns, contact the Don Voyage concierge number, available in your travel package. First, always contact the local authorities if you encounter any danger while abroad.
For any diplomatic or political issues, please contact the US Embassy or your country’s embassy in the destination country. For more information, click here.
